Leave X is a civic project encouraging European politicians and political institutions to move away from X and toward healthier, decentralized alternatives such as the Fediverse. This session introduces the campaign, what we have learned from engaging with politicians and institutions, and how people can help push this transition forward.
Leave X is a campaign advocating for institutions, politicians, civil-society organizations, media, and individuals to reduce their dependence on X and move toward healthier decentralized alternatives.
The session will begin with a short presentation about the project, its political motivation, and some of the lessons learned from campaigning for organizations and elected representatives to leave X.
The second part will be interactive: we will discuss practical ways people can use the Fediverse for democratic and civic engagement, including outreach to institutions and politicians.
There may also be a few small prizes for participants who take action. :)
