Roland Alton

Dr. Roland Alton-Scheidl heads the fairkom association and teaches at Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences. Born in Zurich and raised in Tyrol, he studied Computer Science and Media Art in Vienna before serving as a research fellow at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Since more than 30 years he has worked as an IT consultant for enterprises, public administration, academic institutions, SMEs, and NPOs. Author of "Ethify Yourself", spokesperson of Creative Commons Austria, conception and realization of online services like TERMINO.gv.at, fairchat, fairmeeting, fairteaching, fair.tube, fairmove or fairsuch. Member of the supervisory board at the DisplayEurope Cooperative.
