Douwe
Douwe Schmidt is a Public Tech Project Manager at the City of Amsterdam. Prior to this, he served on the board of a data-ethics investigation bureau, worked as a privacy officer at Fairphone, and as a security trainer at Greenhost. In addition, I enjoy collaborating frequently with De Waag and Bots of Freedom and have participated in their Fabacademy, among other programs.
He is the founder of the Privacy Café for Bits of Freedom, has organized numerous other events on the internet and politics, and has researched privacy-enhancing technologies for online newspaper De Correspondent.

In December 2022 I set up the Mastodon server for the Amsterdam City. This talk is about the bumpy road and how we are growing our fedi-coalition with publishers and companies. We'll preview the first cultural fedi-calendar made by two nightclubs from our capital.
